Homeopathy
The main principle that homeopathy is based on is ‘The Law of Similars’, i.e. ‘like cures like’, which basically means that the same toxin that produces a specific illness in large doses can cure the same symptoms when used in a very highly diluted preparation. It is believed that homeopathic preparations (usually available in tablet form) can facilitate the natural tendency of the body to heal itself.
You should not self-subscribe homeopathic remedies; instead it is advised to consult a registered homeopath. At the initial consultation the homeopath will ask you a comprehensive list of questions to establish the correct remedies to recommend. They will need to know about your past medical history, your feelings, your lifestyle, your appetite, digestion, sleep patterns, and any general complaints or symptoms that you have.
Homeopathy can be beneficial for almost all health complaints especially a number of conditions linked with Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, including: digestive disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome; allergies and skin complaints; food intolerances; respiratory problems such as rhinitis, sinusitis and asthma; back pain, rheumatism and arthritis; women’s disorders e.g. endometriosis and irregular, painful or heavy menstruation; chronic pain management; migraines, headaches and tension headaches; and mental health issues/emotional problems such as depression, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), panic attacks, addictions, stress disorder, sleeplessness or insomnia.
Any course of treatment recommended is highly individual and looks at the overall picture, rather than focusing on a specific illness or disease. It looks at all the symptoms and potential imbalances, which vary and are unique to one person’s own physiology, and seeks to redress these. With the correct and most appropriate formula any emotional or mood disorders should normalise at the same time as the physical symptoms.
Homeopathic remedies are non-toxic and are devoid of chemicals so are considered very safe for people of all ages to use, even babies, toddlers and pregnant women.
